Our Green Flag!
Sam Eccles from the Social Enterprise Academy visited the eco committee on 23rd April. We worked on developing our vegetable garden as a social enterprise and Sam was very impressed with our pupils - so much so, that we received an email to tell us that we have won an award!
On Saturday 15th May the Eco Committee are running a workshop all about our garden at the Argyll and Bute Outdoor Learning Festival. We are really looking forward to telling lots of other schools about our garden and how it works as a social enterprise.
Recently we welcomed visitors from Kentucky. They were full of praise for our garden and the way in which we are trying to grow produce for our school kitchens.
The Eco Committee visited Bute Produce recently. Mr Billy Miller and Mr Chris Helm showed the pupils around the site and told them all about growing, composting and wind power from their newly installed wind turbine.
