Music at Rothesay Primary School

Mr Spencer

Mr Tony Spencer

Music is a very important part of the curriculum at Rothesay Primary School. Mr Spencer is our Instrumental Instructor and teaches recorder to Primary 5.

Mr Spencer also directs our Campus Band and Swing Band which primary pupils are invited to join once they pass an assessment, begin learning an instrument and show promise and willingness to practise.

Mrs Mary Spencer is a teacher in Rothesay Primary.  She directs our upper school choir who undertake a number of engagements across the session.

Mrs Spencer teaches Primary 4-5 and supports their recorder lessons.

This term Miss Henry, our acting Depute is directing 'We Will Rock You' with Rothesay Academy Music teacher Miss Foreman. Primary 7 are taking part in this production.

Many of the outcomes in Curriculum for Excellence are developed through performance and this is something we value highly at Rothesay Primary.
