About our teacher:

Mrs Pellegrotti enjoys spending time with family and friends and
going out for long walks with baby Aiden and Snoopy the dog.
She loves shopping!

What we will be studying this term:

We are learning vocabulary from Stages 1 and 2 of the Oxford Reading Tree.
We are listening to stories about Kipper (the main character) and his family.
We are learning to hold our pencils correctly and write letters and numbers.
We are learning how to use our magnet boards and how to make words with the sounds we know.
We are learning to count, recognise and sequence numbers 1 - 10.

The Enchanted Forest (Winter and Spring)
Be Happy and Healthy

Our outings in this Session:

Last session primary one visited Fun World. Our outings are discussed as part of the planning for our topics or themes and pupils are part of this decision making process.

Other things that we do that you will find interesting:

Primary 1 are learning through play. We call this 'Active Learning'.

On Monday 12th September Primary 1 start staying in school all day. Mums, Dads and Grans can come to have lunch with us that day.

In December we will be performing The Nativity story for everyone at The United Church of Bute.
