Rothesay Primary joined the campaign to reduce dog fouling on the Isle of Bute recently. Our board is on display at the public park close to our school. It is a reminder to dog owners to be responsible, that dog fouling is not only disgusting but is a serious risk to the wellbeing of our young people.
Rothesay Primary is taking part in an initiative with Towards Zero Carbon Bute that will promote more eco friendly travel to school. Pupils and staff get points for travelling to school, the more eco friendly the transportation, the more points are awarded. Primary 3 were first to win the weekly prize - a beautiful banner made completely from recycled materials.
We were awarded our first
Joint Campus Green Flag in September! Eco Schools Scotland said they were 'blown away' by all that they saw and the knowledge our pupils demonstrated through their presentation.
